I first penned a short story entitled “Tales of a Hoosier Boy” some years ago. Spurred to do more for the story by Bristol author and resident, RoseMary McDaniels, I have embellished the writing to be more inclusive of what my boyhood was like in this marvelous little town of Bristol, Indiana.
My virtual tour of the town in my 1950’s boyhood will give the reader an insight to what growing up in Bristol was like so many years ago.
What is to be told here then are the best memories and the triumphs in my life. The Creator has blessed me many times over, and that is the mindset being shared in this rendering.
Among the triumphs are the woman that married me, the Daughter she bore me and the Grandson borne by our Daughter. Everything else is inconsequential. This autobiographical effort is given impetus by the joys of life I’ve been given by those triumphs.
Should someone ask me to talk about God, all I can offer is that God is an entity believed to be responsible for the Creation of all things in the Universe. After that, I’m at a loss.
I’m just going to take a stab at this so the reader must remember, it is all speculation. I can look out my window and see the sky, the weeds growing in my yard and trees. How did they get here?
I don’t know.
