Is World Peace Merely a Dream?
Awakening the God Within You

At seventy-two years of age, I can recall all the yearly Christmas wishes for world peace. We have made great strides in technology but the human propensity for violence, jealousy and greed still prevails with each new generation. I must finally admit, after so many decades of life – I cannot save the world. I cannot totally concede, however. Perhaps unable to create world change, I can at least make a dent.

I am not so filled with ego that I would want to compete with those who gave us wisdoms in the past; Lao-tzu, Gandhi, Jesus, the Buddha, or Confucius. Should I compile words in such a beautiful, meaningful way, would it change things? We have the Ten Commandments but folks disobey them in droves. Do the tenets of Islam praise the beheading of an infidel, and if it does not all Muslims would agree with it.

But, if one human mind finds a moment of peaceful reflection after absorbing my words it will all have been worth it. And, I must tell you why.

This account is twofold; to open treasures of wisdom from those who have preceded me, and, to deal with the one last vestige of upset that keeps me permanently from total solace – anger.

The purpose of this exercise in discovery is to come to terms with that anger and accept the vicissitudes of life with contentment.

getting educated”
